iPhone 12 became available for pre-order on October 16 with a launch to follow on October 23. The iPhone 12 mini will be available for pre-order on 6th November with a launch to follow on 13th November 2020.

Logan Purk, an impartiality analyst with Edward Jones said that there is no killer app for why you need to enhance 5G far off it’s just faster than 4G. That is not a fit enough selling point to move into these costly handsets and pay up for 5G technology, for most of the customers.

He also said that this technology improves security and privacy as long as people can use 5G networks in place of public Wi-Fi.

Ville-Petteri Ukonaho, an analyst of strategy analytics, said that there is no demand for 5G phones, only push from promoters and sellers. If people have a choice, they will still go for 4G because there is no need for 5G. It does not present anything so innovative to the table that people want 5G phones.

Nearly all the early 5G phones had short battery timing and overheating issues. But Apple Company has announced a new feature named a smart switching system, which will prevent those issues. The new iPhone 12 models move switches between 4G and 5G connectivity to save the battery power. It will automatically switch to 5G connectivity when it is needed. Otherwise, the phone will activate 4G connectivity.
5G Not Available in Most Areas
5G is now available in many countries of the globe, especially in China and US. In US, AT&T and T-Mobile have all turned on 5G networks and they continue spreading their coverage footprint. But there are still many countries where 5G service is not available. Especially, in rural areas, people will not be able to use 5G connectivity.
